Role
We are hiring a Talent Lead to build and run the talent engine for Allied. You will be responsible for finding, engaging, assessing, and closing exceptional people across engineering, product, manufacturing, operations, commercial, and leadership roles as we scale.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own the full recruiting lifecycle in a small, high-accountability team. You will work closely with founders and hiring managers to understand what great looks like, shape role requirements, build sourcing strategies, and create a candidate experience that reflects Allied’s mission and standards.
You will also help design the operating system for talent at Allied: scorecards, interview loops, sourcing pipelines, referrals, reporting, employer brand, and the processes that allow us to hire quickly without lowering the bar.

About You
- Experience owning recruiting for high-performing technical, hardware, software, operations, or commercial teams
- Strong sourcing ability and comfort building candidate pipelines from first principles
- Excellent judgement for assessing talent, motivation, trajectory, and culture fit
- Comfortable partnering with founders and hiring managers on role design, calibration, interviews, and closing
- Able to create structured hiring processes while staying pragmatic in a fast-moving environment
- High agency, strong written communication, and a bias toward direct outreach and practical execution
- Motivated by Allied’s mission and the responsibility of building a team for critical defence technology

Hiring Process
- Initial chat (30 mins) – A casual conversation with our CEO, to discuss your background, interests, and the role.
- Culture interviews (30 mins each) – Conversations with other team members to discuss our company culture, values, and how you would fit in.
- Practical discussion – A working session to discuss how you would approach a hiring challenge at Allied.
- CEO interview (30 mins) – A conversation with Jon, Allied Founder & CEO.
- Offer – If we find that you are a good fit for the role and our team, we will extend an offer to you.
