Role

We are hiring a Production System Engineer to design, build, and improve the systems that turn engineering intent into reliable production output. You will work across manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and operations to make sure our products can be built repeatedly, traceably, and at increasing scale.

You will own the production system from first principles: defining process flows, work instructions, tooling needs, quality controls, and the data structures that support them. You will help connect PLM, ERP, MES, and shop-floor workflows so that configuration, change control, and production status remain clear as we grow.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building practical operating systems as much as solving technical problems. You will spend time close to the product, close to the team, and close to the constraints that determine whether a production process works in the real world.

About Allied

We’re a defence technology company reimagining how capability gets developed, built, and deployed. Our team comes from military service, government, and engineering — united not by background but by purpose. We work as a circle of peers, not a hierarchy. We prove what works in weeks, not years.

We’re backed by leading investors and working with best-in-class partners to strengthen western democracies. We don’t say that lightly.

About You

  • Experience building or improving production systems in automotive, aerospace, defence, robotics, or another complex hardware environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process design, production readiness, and configuration-controlled operations
  • Hands-on experience with production data, work instructions, quality controls, and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working across PLM, ERP, MRP, MES, or adjacent operational systems
  • Able to translate ambiguous engineering and operational needs into clear, robust processes
  • Bias toward practical execution and a high bar for traceability, quality, and reliability

You are

  • Comfortable operating in a small, high-accountability team
  • Highly ownership-driven with strong internal standards
  • A structured thinker who can make complex production systems legible
  • Calm under pressure
  • Motivated by building systems that work in practice, not just on paper
